Hi!

This is my review of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a game that is available for The Nintendo DS, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and the Xbox 360.

This Star Wars game is unlike any I have ever played before. You play as Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice. In the first mission you play as Darth Vader. You are on the Wookie planet of Kashyyk. Your goal is to find the Rogue Jedi and kill him. Vader’s apprentice is the Rogue Jedi’s son. Darth Vader doesn’t want anyone to know that he let his son live, so he becomes his apprentice.

As you progress through the game you unlock new costumes that you can wear. You can change your costume by going to the customize costume screen on the Rogue Shadow( your ship). My favorite costume is probably either the Sith Robes or the Ceremonial Jedi Robes. Another cool costume is the Correllian Flight Suit. I didn’t unlock my costumes, instead I used the cheat code GRANDMOFF, which unlocks all the costumes for you.

When you kill a person you get Jedi Points. Once you have enough Jedi Points you can upgrade one of your Force Powers, or you can learn an entirely new one. My favorite Force Power is Lightning Because it kills enemies really fast. Another good Force Power is the Force Push because once it is on its maximum, your enemies go flying when you use it.

There isn’t that many levels in this game, but my favorite level would either be The Jedi Temple or Kashyyk(not at the beginning of the game when you are Darth Vader, but when you go there as The Apprentice). The hardest level would have to be Felucia because There is these things called Rancors, which are these really big bull things. The hardest Rancor is the Bull Rancor because it is the strongest. In the last level, you have to fight Darth Vader and the Emperor.

When you are in the Rogue Shadow, you can either customize your costume, Go to the Extras place where you can input cheat codes, view and upgrade your Force Powers and customize your Lightsaber. If you are going to use cheats, these are probably the best cheats to use. GRANDMOFF, which unlocks all the costumes for you,  VERGENCE, which gives you unlimited Force Power, CORTOSIS, which makes you immune to every single type of damage, LIGHTSABER, which makes your Lightsaber do massive damage, COUNTDOOKU, which makes all of your combos the max level, KATARN, which makes all of your Force Powers the max level, ZABRAK, which unlocks Darth Maul as a skin and SPEEDER, which gives you one million Force Points.

This game is really fun, but it is really short too so I am giving it a 6.5/10.

Hi again!

This is my review of an older game, but it is still fun. It is called Super Smash Bros Melee. I reviewed Super Smash Bros Brawl, so I decided to review the older one that is out for the Nintendo Game Cube.

This game doesn’t really have a story. It is just another fighting game. My favorite character in this game is Marth. He is in Brawl, but he is really bad in Brawl and really good in Melee. There is still a lot of characters but this time I am not going to name all of them. Here is a list of some of the characters: Marth, Kirby, Link, Zelda, Samus, Pikachu and Pichu.

There is still a lot of stages in this game. My favorite stage would either be Hyrule Temple or Venom. Hyrule Temple is a really big arena and is really fun when there is a lot of people playing. Venom is a very small stage but it is cool because it is an air plane and you fight on its wings. One of the hardest stages is Brinstar Depths. It is one of Samus’ arenas and is really annoying because if you fall you fall in lava. The most annoying stage in this game is Ness’ arena. It is this place where there is a house and a road. If you go on the road when a car is about to come by, the car hits you and you go flying and usually end up flying off the screen which kills you.

One-Player in this game isn’t very fun because it is really short. Adventure mode is the short one, but there are more kinds of One-Player scenarios. In one mode, you have to do a whole bunch of events. The last event is really hard because you have to fight Giga Bowser, Mewtwo and Gannondorf.

I think this game is really fun and if you have a Wii, it will work on it because you can play Game Cube games on the Wii. I am giving this game a 8/10.

Hi guys!

I am just writing this post because school is out now for winter break where I live.

During the winter break, I like to play in the snow (if there is any) or test out my Christmas presents. I love playing in the snow because where I live, when it snows, it snows a lot. Last year there was about 3 feet of snow or so on the ground. When I went to Ottawa last year, there was a big storm while I was gone. when I got back, there were fences blown down almost everywhere. Luckily, my fence didn’t get blown down.

We are out of school for about 2 weeks or so, which is really good because that is a lot of time to experiment with my presents.

What do you do in your winter break? Do you spend time with your family?

Christmas is my favorite holiday ever! The tree, the lights and the presents are always amazing. I love looking at all of the decorated houses because they are always really cool.

On Christmas Eve, I sometimes have turkey but sometimes we have spaghetti instead. I usually just play video games or watch TV until it is time for bed on Christmas Eve.

When I wake up on Christmas Day, I run into the living room to get my stocking. I open my stocking and take out one of the mandarin oranges that are in it, and then I turn on the TV until my dad gets up. When he does, I open my presents and then we eat breakfast.

A few days after Christmas, my dad and I go to Ottawa for about a week. It is really fun in Ottawa because there is always a lot of snow there and all of my cousins and dad’s relatives live there. One of my cousins always has a New Years party. Last Christmas it was snowing when we got to Ottawa. The car we had rented was absolutely covered in snow.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. What do you and your families do during the holidays? Do you have any interesting Christmas memories?

Hi guys!

I am going to review the old Mystery Dungeon games because I have reviewed the newer ones. Blue Rescue Team is for the Nintendo DS and Red Rescue Team is for the Game boy Advance.

Again, in the beginning you mysteriously turn into a Pokemon and your character can’t remember a thing. You have to take a test to determine what Pokemon would best fit you. After that, you have to pick a partner. I don’t really like the test because sometimes you end up with really dumb or weak Pokemon. One time I ended up with a Pikachu. I don’t like Pikachu, so I turned off my DS. If you are not happy with the Pokemon you get, just turn off your DS and take the test again. It might take a while to get the Pokemon you want, but most of the time its worth it. In the newer Mystery Dungeon games, I spent about an hour just trying to get the Pokemon I wanted. In Blue Rescue Team, my friend did the test for me so I ended up with a really bad Pokemon, Charmander.

In these games, you can only rescue people but in the new Mystery Dungeon games you can arrest outlaws too. The rescue missions are really easy but the story missions can be a little hard.  I think that the first boss is Zapdos, but I really can’t remember. The last boss is Rayquaza. I am not even on the last mission because I am stuck on Articuno. Although Rayquaza is the last boss, he is not the last boss because after you beat him there are some bonus bosses that you can fight for fun like Lugia and Jirachi. I’m sure there is more bonus bosses but I can’t remember if there is.

I thought that these games were fun at first but like the newer Mystery Dungeon games they get boring after a while. I am giving these games a 6.5/10.

I kept running and running. My heart was beating so fast. It was all I could hear, except for the sounds of them, the things that were chasing me. I looked back to see if they were still following me, and they were, so I kept running. I stopped for a moment to catch my breath. When I looked back again, I noticed that there was less of them then before, so I ran again. When I ran forward I had to suddenly stop because the rest of them were in front of me. One of them tried to grab at me, but it missed. Another one hit me over the head with a strange mace and it knocked me out…

Oh! Hi there! I was just reading the first page of my book, The Creatures. Our class has been making book covers, and mine is about aliens. I have been drawing these aliens for a long time, and last year, I actually did make books about them. We made portraits and then Ms. Smith scanned them and we colored them again, and then we glued them to a sheet of black construction paper. We worked on the actual book cover for a while so they looked really good. We glued the sides of the books to the black sheet of construction paper too. For the self portrait, we had to size our heads and look in mirrors at the shapes of our heads. It was fun because the mirrors were really cool and if you turned them you could see most of the class.

The books that I made about them were called The Toadstich Wars, because I have called them Toadstiches since I made them.  The main story in the books that I made about them last year was that a very powerful Toadstich was born and his destiny was to stop an evil group of Toadstiches who were trying to take over the universe, and all of the aliens in it. Along the way, more characters are introduced into the storyline, but most of them die or get captured. The Toadstich that was born was a Star Toadstich, a very powerful kind that was very rare. I made 3 books, but I still haven’t finished the 3rd book.

Well, that’s all I wanted to say about my book. If I had any of the books written as a post on my blog, would you read them?

Have you ever been to space? well Astronaut Clayton Anderson has, and our class had a web cast with him! Although I missed the web cast, I still have a lot of info on space. I got my info from the Yes I Can! website. I have a link to it and here it is. Yes I Can! Canadians In Space. The image to the left is of a toilet aboard the ISS. Would you ever use that toilet?

Working on the ISS

Working on the ISS (International Space Station) is probably quite hard. You would have to install new programs for the computers and the electronics on the ISS quite a bit so they are up to date and working good. You would also have to do experiments in space, which are probably quite long and boring. You would also have to do the daily tasks which involves repairs, food preparation and cleaning. I think that living and working on the ISS would be hard because you would have to adapt to all of the different living conditions that would be there. Astronauts still play games on the ISS, so they are not always bored when they are up there. During their free time  they play a lot Trivial Pursuit games and they read and they write. These games help the astronauts adapt to living in space. They also look out the windows at the Earth and how beautiful it is from space.

I am pretty sure that astronauts have the latest technology so they can do experiments to the best of quality. They use high tech equipment to make sure that the experiment goes right. It is a good idea to have an attitude towards learning and working when you are on the ISS so you are meeting the expectations up on the ISS. You would also need good habits so you don’t annoy any of the other astronauts when they are trying to do their work. You would need to find something to do on the ISS that isn’t distracting any of the other astronauts from their work and isn’t distracting you from your work.

Hygiene in space

Staying clean is just as important in space as it is on Earth. The astronauts take sponge baths aboard the space shuttle because of the water supply. On the ISS, they can have a full shower because there is quite a bit of water on the ISS, and because there is enough space for showers. When they want to have a shower, they step into this cylindrical shower stall. Showers on the ISS are not the same as they are on Earth because on Earth, the water drips down, but on the ISS there is no gravity so the water can’t flow downward, so the water accumulates the astronauts body forming this  water skin. They use a soap dispenser that looks like a tube of toothpaste to clean their selves. To get the water off, they use a vacuum to get suck off all of the air.

Well, this is the end of the post. See you all next time!
