Hello. My name is Spirit. I have been exploring this barren waste land for 5 years now. I am one of the Mars Rovers. On my journey I have found out many things about Mars. I have taken many pictures of it and collected many samples of rocks and minerals. There is one particular picture that the humans are studying the most: a space ship.
I found it when I was exploring a very bumpy terrain and right in front of me my controllers noticed that there was a metal object. So, they moved me up to it and I took many pictures of it. At first they just thought it was a lump of metal from my original ship, but it turned out to be an entire space ship. I went up to it and collected some pieces of the metal from it and sent back pictures of them. After I had done that I noticed another metal object, so then I went up to it and it was another space ship. I then realized that they were all around me. I took pictures of all of them and then, something noticed me. It seemed to be blue and it had many tentacles. It looked like it was something from the future. It was very small, probably only the size of a finger, but the pictures I took made it look much bigger and same with all of the space ships. The pictures made them look like they were meant for giants, but in reality they were only the size of a hand. The blue thing looked like it wanted me to follow it so I did. It took me to a strange place that was very dusty.
The place that it took me to was shining very brightly, almost as much as to blind a person. The people down on Earth never forgot how bright it was. I took about 50 pictures of it because it was a very interesting thing to see. It looked like it was a small city or a town. When I was right in front of it, I saw many more of the blue things and many more of their ships. I decided to try and take one of the blue creatures. It was not an easy thing to do because all of the blue things noticed what I was doing and they all attacked me. I managed to get one of them so then I took more pictures of their little city and took more pictures of the blue things and then I tried to escape. It was not easy either because their ships were really fast. One of them managed to jump onto me and ripped up some of my wires. I went a little bit farther and then my wheels stopped working. I was stuck. the blue things seemed to have got me stuck by little ropes so I couldn’t move. I tried just ramming through their ropes but that didn’t work, so then I got out one of my tools and cut through the rope. When I did that I also broke their ships so they couldn’t follow me. I could then finally escape from their evil city.
A few days ago I went to Bringing us together and there was a post about “One Wish…” It said “If you could make one wish for someone, what would it be?” Of course, you can’t wish for more wishes and your wish can’t be for you. It has to be for someone else.
My wish is for my Grandpa. I wish that he will stay alive for a few more years. Unfortunately, he might not because he is quite old. Last time I saw him he couldn’t really remember my name because he has Alzheimer’s Disease.
Alzheimer’s Disease makes you forget things you normally wouldn’t. It also destroys your brain and after a while, it can even kill you. I hope that doesn’t happen to my grandpa, but it could so that is why my wish is for him.
Today, history has been made in the U.S. Today is the day that Mr. Obama is sworn in as president. Our class watched a little bit of the inauguration. It was kinda boring, but we got to see a little bit of Obama’s speech. He said that he would try to help the U.S. in many different ways like making sure that teenagers are going to school.
even though I am not American, I am glad Obama won because he sounded like he will do a lot of things like try to stop the war in Afghanistan.
Barack Obama is the 44th president of the United States and the first black president. Today will be remembered through out the whole world and for a long time. I bet people will be telling stories about today. The day that Barack Obama became president!
When I get home from school I usually like to have a snack. Here are some of my favorites:
Nachos- I really like these because It is easy to make them!
Fruit Smoothies- These are good on a summer’s day when it is really hot out!
Cheese and Crackers- This is probably the simplest snack ever!
Yogurt and Harvest Crunch Cereal- This is more like a breakfast then a snack!
So, now that you know what I like I will include the recipes and ingredients!
Nachos- You will need: A bag of tortilla chips, cheese, a cookie sheet, tin-foil, salsa or anything else you like on nachos!
Preheat oven to 350.
Place some tin-foil on your cookie sheet.
Put some chips onto the tin-foil.
Put salsa and cheese on the chips.
Place cookie sheet in oven.
Take them out of the oven when the cheese has melted quite a bit or until you think they are done.
Enjoy!
If you would like nachos quicker, just put them on a plate and put some cheese on them and put them in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Fruit Smoothies- You will need: A blender, some cups, frozen fruit, ice-cream and anything that you like in your smoothies!
Place some ice-cream into the blender.
Liquefy the ice-cream for about 15 seconds.
Stop liquefying the ice-cream and put some of your frozen fruit(or just normal chopped up fruit) into the blender.
Liquefy them for about 20 seconds, or more depending on how liquid you want your smoothie.
If you like your smoothies cold, put some ice into the blender and blend for 30 seconds.
Grab your cup and pour some of the smoothie into it, get a straw or a spoon and enjoy!
Cheese and Crackers- You will need: Your favorite brand of crackers, your favorite kind of cheese, a knife(be careful when you use this or have adult supervision while you are cutting the cheese) and a plate.
Put some of your crackers onto a plate.
Cut up some cheese with your knife.
Place the cheese on the crackers.
Eat it!
Yogurt and Harvest Crunch Cereal- You will need: A bowl, a knife(a butter knife should be fine for this), a spoon, your favorite kind of yogurt, Harvest Crunch Cereal and a banana.
Place some of your yogurt into your bowl.
Chop up your banana and put the slices into the bowl.
Get your Harvest Crunch cereal and put some into the bowl.
I am just writing a quick post about my favorite holiday. My favorite holiday is Christmas because you get to spend a lot of time with your family and friends. I also like it because you get 2 weeks off from school which is really good because I like to play with my friends during Christmas break. As I have mentioned before I also like Christmas because sometimes I go to Ottawa which is really fun during the winter. There is always tons of snow.

This is my review of Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, a game that is out for the Nintendo DS.
This game is really fun. It is fun because you don’t play as a character, you can control them all at once. When you go into a battle, You can select your creatures by tapping them with the stylus and you tap where you want them to go. If you want to move a lot of them at once, you can draw a square and it selects them all, and then you can tap them where you want them to go.
The creatures you control are called Espers. There are 3 kinds of Espers. These are: Ranged, Flying and Melee. You can use their type to your advantage because there is a combat triangle with them. Flying is good against Melee and Melee is bad against Flying. Ranged is good against Flying and Flying is bad on Ranged. Finally, Melee is good on Ranged and Ranged is bad on Melee. Some of them are really dangerous and some of them are very harmless. Before you go into a battle, you go to the battle screen. This is when you can change the Espers in your group before you enter the battle. Espers have a certain rank too. They can have a rank of I, II or III. Rank I is just the basic rank and rank II is the medium Espers and rank III are really good Espers, or Espers that will help you the most, but you can only have one rank III Esper with you.
There are about 50 or so Espers that you can buy in the game with your Auracite. Your enemies have creatures too, but thye are not Espers; they are Yarhi. Although the Yarhi look almost exactly the same as Espers, they are actually quite different. Espers are usually bright colors and Yarhi are usually very dark colors or different shades of dark colors. My favorite Esper is either Shiva, Ultima or Mateus. Shiva, Ultima and Mateus are all rank III Espers. Shiva is the rank III ranged-water Esper, Mateus is the rank III flying-water Esper and Ultima is the rank III healing Esper, but Ultima can also do a lot of damage with one of her moves.
When you go to the battle screen, you can also select leaders for your battle. The leaders are the actual characters in the game and the Esper that is their type will be following them. Here are the leaders that you start out with : Vaan, Penelo, Kytes and Filo. Vaan is melee typed, Penelo is healing typed, Kytes is ranged typed and Filo is flying typed. My favorite character is Vaan. You also have to buy your characters items that they can equip or wear.
I think this game is really fun, but if the graphics were better I would have given it a better rating, and because I am stuck on the last few levels. I am giving this game a 7/10.
Hi everyone! Happy New Year! 2009 is finally here!
Today in class we were talking about goals we may have for the New Year. My New Year’s resolution would probably be to stop playing so much video games. Almost each day I spend about an hour playing a video game, and it is getting boring now because I have beaten most of the video games I have. I would also like to stop taking long showers. I take about 15 minutes when I have a shower.
I will know that my resolutions have worked when I start taking shorter showers and spend less time playing video games. If my resolution works, I will have more time to spend with my friends and family. I would also have more time to play outside and with my dog. I would also get more blog posts done, but since my blog is about video games, I am not really sure if my resolution will work, but I hope it does.
