Hello readers!

This is my review of The Lord of The Rings: Conquest, a game that is out for the Xbox360, the PS3, the PC, and the Nintendo DS.

In this Lord of The Rings game, you can select a campaign to play. You can either pick The Rise of Sauron campaign, or the good team campaign. I can’t remember what the good team campaign is called. You don’t play as the main characters; instead, you play as a soldier on that side. There are four classes of soldiers that you can choose and those are: Warrior, Archer, Mage and Scout. My favorite class is either Warrior or Archer because the warriors have really powerful attacks and the Archers shoot very fast.

Warriors have very powerful attacks because there is a bar that shows how much special attack you have left, and then you can power up your sword so it looks like it is on fire and the attacks that it does when it is are much more powerful than normal. The Archers are very good because you can make their arrows turn on fire or poisoned as their special attack and they just shoot very fast. You still have to wait a while after you use their special attack so it has time to recharge. It’s really funny on The Rise of Sauron campaign on the last level when you pick Archer because you have to kill Hobbits and they die in 1 hit pretty much with anything and when you shoot them with an arrow they go flying and look like they’re a rag doll or something because their body swings around like it has no bones.

The Scout class is pretty good too because their special attack lets them turn invisible so you can sneak up behind your enemies and back stab them. Back stabbing them does quite a bit of damage and it usually will kill your enemy in 1 hit, and pretty much all the time it does. The Scout also has something that when you throw it, it explodes and usually kills them in 1 hit. This bomb does much more damage to Ents because it makes them catch on fire, and since they are trees they are very vulnerable to that. It is also really effective when you are being swarmed by Hobbits on the last level on The Rise of Sauron campaign because when you throw it at something and when it hits them, it automatically explodes and when there are a whole bunch of Hobbits in 1 area, it will usually kill them all. The Mage class isn’t very good because their attacks aren’t that great, unless you use their melee attack instead of using their weak magic attack. There are only 2 things that are good about Mages and that is that they can make a shield, protecting the people in it from arrows and other Mages’ attacks, and the Mage can also heal other soldiers, otherwise it would be hard not to die every once in a while. You can level up your classes so that they do more damage or so that they’re just better than they were before.

In the different campaigns you can play, the levels are also different and once you have beaten that campaign, you can choose the level you want to start at. My favorite level on The Rise of Sauron campaign would have to be the last level where you have to kill the Hobbits because it is very funny when they die. Although that level may sound easy, you also have to deal with the Ents that wander around killing your soldiers, and you have to be careful not to get swarmed by the Hobbits because even though they just use tiny little knifes, if you get swarmed they can be quite good, and if you pick the Archer class, you may not think to look behind you or right below you because you wouldn’t expect them to be there, but you’ll notice if they are attacking you because your health bar goes down when they hit you. You also have to watch out for the Hobbit Archers because they still shoot really fast and they are hard to see, but once you spot them they die easily like all other Hobbits do.

The hardest level on the Rise of Sauron campaign is when you go to the place that has the Elves. The Elves are very powerful and their Archers are really good. Their Mages are even a little good too. The easiest people to kill on this level would be the Elf Grunts(each team has Grunts to help them out except for the Hobbits; they are very easy to kill and die in 1 hit pretty much with anything like Hobbits do). In The Elf place you have to fight 2 bosses and they are Legolas and the Elf King. They are both very hard to kill, and Legolas is probably the best Archer in the game. I think the Elf King has a sword, but I can’t exactly remember. When you are fighting them I suggest that you should try being a Scout so you can turn invisible and back stab the Elf King or Legolas. If you choose Archer to fight them, make sure you are in a spot that is well hidden so Legolas can’t find you and shoot you.

The funnest level on the good team campaign would probably be the battle on Pellinor Fields because there are these large elephant-like creatures that you can climb up and kill. I only played this game on the PS3, so I’m not sure how you would climb up them on other systems. How you climb up them on the PS3 version is like this. When you get close enough to one of the elephant’s front legs, it will tell you to push a button so you can start climbing it. While you are climbing it, it will tell you to push other buttons so you can stay on it and make it up to the head. Once you are on it’s head, it will tell you to push another button to kill it.

This is a really great game, and if you are a fan of The Lord of The Rings, you will most likely love this game. It’s not that much like any of the other Lord of The Rings games because you play as a soldier instead of the main characters, but if you liked any of the other games you will probably like this one a lot too. Although this game is really good, it gets repetitive after a while, and the enemy A.I. is very bad, but sometimes bad enemy A.I. can actually be pretty funny because your enemies don’t even bother coming up to you. If you have the PS3 version though, it’ll still be fun because you can try to get all of the trophies. I am giving this game a 10/10.

Hi!

This is my review of Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, a game that is out for the Nintendo DS.

This game is really fun. It is fun because you don’t play as a character, you can control them all at once. When you go into a battle, You can select your creatures by tapping them with the stylus and you tap where you want them to go. If you want to move a lot of them at once, you can draw a square and it selects them all, and then you can tap them where you want them to go.

The creatures you control are called Espers. There are 3 kinds of Espers. These are: Ranged, Flying and Melee. You can use their type to your advantage because there is a combat triangle with them. Flying is good against Melee and Melee is bad against Flying. Ranged is good against Flying and Flying is bad on Ranged. Finally, Melee is good on Ranged and Ranged is bad on Melee. Some of them are really dangerous and some of them are very harmless. Before you go into a battle, you go to the battle screen. This is when you can change the Espers in your group before you enter the battle. Espers have a certain rank too. They can have a rank of I, II or III. Rank I is just the basic rank and rank II is the medium Espers and rank III are really good Espers, or Espers that will help you the most, but you can only have one rank III Esper with you.

There are about 50 or so Espers that you can buy in the game with your Auracite. Your enemies have creatures too, but thye are not Espers; they are Yarhi. Although the Yarhi look almost exactly the same as Espers, they are actually quite different. Espers are usually bright colors and Yarhi are usually very dark colors or different shades of dark colors. My favorite Esper is either Shiva, Ultima or Mateus. Shiva, Ultima and Mateus are all rank III Espers. Shiva is the rank III ranged-water Esper, Mateus is the rank III flying-water Esper and Ultima is the rank III healing Esper, but Ultima can also do a lot of damage with one of her moves.

When you go to the battle screen, you can also select leaders for your battle. The leaders are the actual characters in the game and the Esper that is their type will be following them. Here are the leaders that you start out with : Vaan, Penelo, Kytes and Filo. Vaan is melee typed, Penelo is healing typed, Kytes is ranged typed and Filo is flying typed. My favorite character is Vaan. You also have to buy your characters items that they can equip or wear.

I think this game is really fun, but if the graphics were better I would have given it a better rating, and because I am stuck on the last few levels. I am giving this game a 7/10.

Hi!

This is my review of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a game that is available for The Nintendo DS, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and the Xbox 360.

This Star Wars game is unlike any I have ever played before. You play as Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice. In the first mission you play as Darth Vader. You are on the Wookie planet of Kashyyk. Your goal is to find the Rogue Jedi and kill him. Vader’s apprentice is the Rogue Jedi’s son. Darth Vader doesn’t want anyone to know that he let his son live, so he becomes his apprentice.

As you progress through the game you unlock new costumes that you can wear. You can change your costume by going to the customize costume screen on the Rogue Shadow( your ship). My favorite costume is probably either the Sith Robes or the Ceremonial Jedi Robes. Another cool costume is the Correllian Flight Suit. I didn’t unlock my costumes, instead I used the cheat code GRANDMOFF, which unlocks all the costumes for you.

When you kill a person you get Jedi Points. Once you have enough Jedi Points you can upgrade one of your Force Powers, or you can learn an entirely new one. My favorite Force Power is Lightning Because it kills enemies really fast. Another good Force Power is the Force Push because once it is on its maximum, your enemies go flying when you use it.

There isn’t that many levels in this game, but my favorite level would either be The Jedi Temple or Kashyyk(not at the beginning of the game when you are Darth Vader, but when you go there as The Apprentice). The hardest level would have to be Felucia because There is these things called Rancors, which are these really big bull things. The hardest Rancor is the Bull Rancor because it is the strongest. In the last level, you have to fight Darth Vader and the Emperor.

When you are in the Rogue Shadow, you can either customize your costume, Go to the Extras place where you can input cheat codes, view and upgrade your Force Powers and customize your Lightsaber. If you are going to use cheats, these are probably the best cheats to use. GRANDMOFF, which unlocks all the costumes for you,  VERGENCE, which gives you unlimited Force Power, CORTOSIS, which makes you immune to every single type of damage, LIGHTSABER, which makes your Lightsaber do massive damage, COUNTDOOKU, which makes all of your combos the max level, KATARN, which makes all of your Force Powers the max level, ZABRAK, which unlocks Darth Maul as a skin and SPEEDER, which gives you one million Force Points.

Here is a link to a page about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Just click on the image of the case that you have.

This game is really fun, but it is really short too so I am giving it a 6.5/10.

Hi guys!

I am going to review the old Mystery Dungeon games because I have reviewed the newer ones. Blue Rescue Team is for the Nintendo DS and Red Rescue Team is for the Game boy Advance.

Again, in the beginning you mysteriously turn into a Pokemon and your character can’t remember a thing. You have to take a test to determine what Pokemon would best fit you. After that, you have to pick a partner. I don’t really like the test because sometimes you end up with really dumb or weak Pokemon. One time I ended up with a Pikachu. I don’t like Pikachu, so I turned off my DS. If you are not happy with the Pokemon you get, just turn off your DS and take the test again. It might take a while to get the Pokemon you want, but most of the time its worth it. In the newer Mystery Dungeon games, I spent about an hour just trying to get the Pokemon I wanted. In Blue Rescue Team, my friend did the test for me so I ended up with a really bad Pokemon, Charmander.

In these games, you can only rescue people but in the new Mystery Dungeon games you can arrest outlaws too. The rescue missions are really easy but the story missions can be a little hard.  I think that the first boss is Zapdos, but I really can’t remember. The last boss is Rayquaza. I am not even on the last mission because I am stuck on Articuno. Although Rayquaza is the last boss, he is not the last boss because after you beat him there are some bonus bosses that you can fight for fun like Lugia and Jirachi. I’m sure there is more bonus bosses but I can’t remember if there is.

I thought that these games were fun at first but like the newer Mystery Dungeon games they get boring after a while. I am giving these games a 6.5/10.
